Ring of Fire- Henchable ?
Well I'm really keen to get some missions completed in Fire Islands and try capping Eviscerate for my warrior. Trouble is there is hardly ever any players online in the Ring of fire to group with to get it done.
I tried twice going with henchman but found it extremely difficult once I get passed the first lava pool. They seem to want to fight in the lava or doen't seem to mind that there standing in it.
Is it even possible to complete the mission with henchman ? Or am I destined to be standing around for hours on end hoping a group will come my way to complete with me?
If anyone has any brilliant plan to complete this mission that hench can pull off please let me know.

I've done the last mission which is Hell's Precipice if I remember and we did it with 5 people. 2 Left, one was an afk freeloader, we had a warrior with a FDS , 2 monks, me as a SS/Heal Support Necro with Well of Blood, and my brother was a solid Warrior build with an Icy Axe.
We still won. When we fought the lych all but 2 people died, and one used Rebirth to rez us all and continue killing him. I couldn't believe we won. People complained it was so hard but we did it under the worst possible circumstances possible. At that point I'd rather have henchies but we still pulled thru.

My R/Mo did ROF with all henchmen and a pet, in one try. Lot of deaths, including my own, but took my time and got through it.

I haven't actually finished it with henchies, but I seem to have more success going through the front gate rather than going around back. Henchies+Inferno Imps=death.

I've done Ring of Fire with henchmen many times, most recently was with my assassin.
I don't know of any 'magic bullet' that works in this mission, it often is just a meat grinder. Make sure to make up for whatever henchmen lack. If they get killed a lot, bring a re-usable res. If they aren't doing enough damage, make sure you are. If you need to interrupt someone, make sure you have the interrupts.
That first lava pit is usually the biggest hurdle I have to over come. Depending on the monster spawns I handle it one of two ways. If the Ettins are very close to the lava's edge, I try to pull them with a longbow. Fire one shot and back off. Hopefully you get everyone back out of the lava before you have to fight. If the ettins are a little back from the lava, I rush them. I don't stop running when I reached them though, I keep pushing until I've gone far enough that the henchmen shouldn't all be in the lava any more. (just don't go far enough to aggro the jade/mursaat) Either way a few henchmen are probably going to get killed, but that's what they are there for.

The missions in the Fire Islands are henchable. I have made it through with both a warrior and a ranger primary while going after 100% for my Tyrian map as well as doing the bonuses. As for other primaries, I cannot say. I should know soon for my monk and my necro.

I completed Hell's Precipice with full henchies (me being a glyph nuker) could've done the bonus too but I wanted to get the mission over with.

I did it with hench as a W/R. Bring winter. I capped Eviscerate and HB and one other skill I can't remember now on that time through. Just take your time and pull, pull, pull. Learn the patrols as well. It will pay off.

Rushing in the missions is a Dead end for your life. Maybe this tactic is long but, take your time and try to know the map at the same time to know the patrols, the ennemis and more.

Beat every RoF mission on my Ranger with rarely any deaths. So much easier and less hassle then with real players.

Thanks again for the input.
I'll likely continue with the story as I'm keen to finish the prophercies as I have done with the factions. I have other chars a monk and ranger that will likely follow once I can get a good percentage of skills for my warrior.
The sarrows furnace area kinda scares me to be honest, lots of hostiles, dwarves and necro guys. I tried to run some of droks to camp and encountered alot of them
I'll certainly try and pay more attention to patrols for the mission and try and remain calm when I fail. From the last run I have to go buy a new mouse having destroyed the scroll function from excessive hench hate.

After 1st tower: kill ettin bosses for morale - you'll need it.
1st lava pool: kill the ettins (they're actually not that bad), sac the henchies on the tower and run for the cutscene.
Front door: liberal use of rebirth works.
Back door: turn around and go thru the front.

Check my post in the Screenshots exposition. It's very possible. (Although my post is of Abaddon's Mouth....but I have henched RoF too. And Hell's Precipice.)
Ring of Fire is not too difficult to hench with a little common sense. Just remember the following:
1. Do not rush.
2. Ctrl+Space is your friend.
3. Don't die in the radius of an active Seal.
4. Pull, lure, and single out bosses if possible (Especially the monk one).
5. When it comes to the Lava pools, wait until you and the henchies are fully regenerated. Then cross the pool using the quickest route, and don't stop moving forward until the henchies are out. This can be difficult as a warrior if there is a mob on the other end, as where the henchies stand is based on where you are. Or you could try waiting, sometimes the Ettins at the first pool will attack the Seal, making it oh so much easier.
6. Good luck
And the best thing about doing it with henchmen? They won't leave.
But hey, if you still can't do it, and your online when I am, gimme a whisper and I might just come and help you. IGN: Kaldor Meshekal / Sarissa Lorren.
edit. Also, I should mention another tip: whenever you see the henchies are low on health (way under half) or the healers /cynn is not casting much (low on energy), retreat from the fight and allow regen.

Unless you're a Mesmer with some interrupts that's sound advice

Even with interrupts, the lava imps are still a challenge because there are so many and they don't always cast at the same time.
For the average GW player, Ring of Fire is not worth bothering to hench. I've tried this mission a multitude of times with 2/8 player/hench and had little success (several months ago). Even tried it with just my ranger with the same crappy luck. Getting the first 2 seals open at the front gate is the easy part, getting inside with few deaths is the hard part.
That said, I did recently hench the bonus with a great deal of patience and luck. Even went through the "easier" back route once I got past all of the seals for the sake of exploration and got a fair bit of it revealed. Took Cynn and Eve a fair bit of time to break down the seal to the back route, though.

Did RoF and bonus with my warrior + 7 hench not long ago. The road to success? DO NOT BRING CYNN !
IMO, the seals are the most challenging foes. Approach them carefully and be ready to run when things get rough.
Don't do what Vizier Khilbron says...you go for that front door! End of discussion! Bring a longbow for luring, though.
